Ura:


Ura is a unique character in the El-Hazard series, for Ura isn't a human, Bugrom, or even humanoid for that matter. Ura belongs to a special breed of cat that acts as living armor in the El-Hazard world. Weapons are useless against it, including a blast from Ifurita's Power Key Staff.

Ura happens to be Princess Fatora's personal bodygaurd/shield and so after Fatora was kidnapped, when Makoto was first being disguised as her, Ura came in and took on the responsibility for Makoto's well-being.

Ura, and armor cats in general, are much like an impenetrable silly putty. When shielding someone, Ura wraps around the person's chest area, wrapping it's legs around their back, in order to deflect any blows brought down upon it. Ura can also mold it's flesh around so that te legs are still free and can be used for climbing. Because of Fatora's demanding nature, when she is rescued, Ura chooses to stay with Makoto, who is much kinder.
