Making wallpapers is something of a hobby for me, and can be great Photoshop practice. What you'll find here is mostly the results of experimentation that I find myself to be happy with and used on my own system for at least a week.
Consider them a little something to spice up your day, just e-mail me first if you want to post them somewhere, and don't direct-link them anywhere, for both the sake of my bandwidth and so that I can consider you at least a marginally decent human being.
Summer's just about here and Dominion's Puma twins are ready to help you enjoy it. I'm not quite satisfied with the backdrop, and may decide to rework it sometime during the month, we'll see what happens. It looks a lot better with a widescreen resolution, and if you want this in another size, I can pretty much work with any monitor resolution.

Again with the Posterbook imagery, this time from the Hellcat line of posters. While the Galhound girls are quite lovely, tough pirate women always win, especially ones capable of facing down hordes of undead and tentacle monsters on their own.

Originally appearing in 2003's Thrilling calendar, featuring a Shirow original gal who also showed up in another piece on 2001's Angel Star calendar. As to the rest of the wallpaper, just some random strokes on top of a nice effect that resulted from compositing two scans of the image in varying quality.

This image, sketched initially for 2002's Heroic and never used, comes to us from Intron Depot 3: Ballistics. The wallpaper itself is noticably simplistic, but not for lack of effort. While I tried adding a variety of effects to it, none of them were coming out in a way that meshed with the image, so instead I chose to leave well enough alone.

With this wallpaper initially meant for February, I took advantage of Shirow's big couple, Deunan and Briareos, and pseudo-themed it for Valentine's Day. Of course, since it wouldn't be Appleseed without landmates, I've chosen a nice pic of the duo all armored up. Backing them up is a montage of various character portraits from the Appleseed Databook, slightly remixed now that we're out of February.

Featuring a lovely pair of gals from the last of the Posterbooks. Galhound made for such a great set of art, too bad its done with now, a shame that it seems to be done with now.

I bet you're thinking "About time!" right? So am I, stuck with a mental block for the longest time while I was working on it until I had the inspiration for it just before heading to bed. Its a bit busy for my tastes, but on the whole I'm happy with it. Its also likely the only time you'll see nudity on the site here, and may only be around for a limited time, so get it while you can!

Wow, almost a year since the last one o_O Anyhow, this is a pic I've always, always loved, and is probably at least a quarter of the reason I got into Shirow. It kicked off the start to a monthly series of wallpaper calendars, though its been updated to remove the date as you don't really care about November 2004 anymore now do you?

This paper is based off of an image that I've wanted to use for absolutely forever, originating in ID2/Rebirth calendar(or probably earlier), but I never had a high-enough resolution scan to work for me. Fortunately Seishinsha came through for me and posted it as one of this month's two gallery pictures, making me very, very happy. I was playing with quite a few effects on this one, and like every bit of this wallpaper.

Based off a scan of a GitS2:MMI cover, I really liked how this one came together. I had an idea for how I wanted this one to come together from the start and I'm pleased that I was able to achieve it as close as I did, choosing the colors was probably the hardest part about this one.

This one originates from Shirow's Posterbooks, and originally had a blue background that shifted to a much nicer looking white-base with a little inversion and some filtering.

Having actually done this wallpaper back in mid-December when I got and scanned my shiny new 2003 Thrilling calendar, I don't remember too much about it aside from her hair being such a pain to edit out that I decided to leave part of the background in the image.

Using another calendar scan(Heroic's April shot this time), I took some time and had to rework bits of the background until I was finally happy with it.

This one was created on a whim, as I don't usually don't touch reds, but this was based on a scan I've wanted to use for a really long time.

Based on a scan from the Angel Star calendar, I felt like making a wallpaper of the month and ended up experimenting with filters and blending for the 'camo'

Having just gotten scans from the GitS Solid Box Set, I couldn't resist making this one, it also evolved into this site's first layout, as well as some that went unused.
